yep definately have a clearer idea of what we are aiming for within the film and aiming for more of a serious drama rather than a comedy. However personally i think that him trying to find his daughter will work better than the kidnapping. Although i like the idea i dont think that it is achievable with us doing it justice. I feel that the idea may be too far fetched for a small scale short film to make it work, particularly with the robbery?
I think tomorrow we will be able to discuss this further and maybe il get a clearer understanding of this idea, how it will work and how we will achieve it. If the group all think this idea will work and we develop it further i am more than happy to go with it as i think we will work together well in any idea we do. I just think that if we stuck to a simpler idea we would be able to make the idea work really well and go into much more detail with the characters story etc....
Yeah we had a meeting today and we decided we're not using that idea but its the same kind of objective, Jake is trying to find his daughter but she got taken away from him when he was younger.
ReplyDeleteHis daughter is with a foster family and Jake is an insurance broker (or whatever you call them), basically he breaks into their house and takes some stuff (the audience won't know this) Jake just happens to be the person that the family consult regarding insurance, so he can get into the house and see his daughter - it's meant to appear as if he's a weird paedo type but the twist is he's trying to get to his daughter. Anyway, amy will post some more stuff in more detail i think!
